Wings was a band set up by Paul McCartney and his wife Linda after the Beatles dissolved.

Wings Greatest was McCartney's first post-1970 compilation album and includes many of the hit singles.  The album was promoted on British TV by a commercial  featuring  actors as members of the public singing Wings songs in town scenes. The commercial ends with a dustman in his lorry stopped at traffic lights in Abbey Road singing to himself "Band On The Run", completely out of tune. Paul, Linda and Wings guitarist Denny drive alongside the dust cart and Paul shouts "You're a bit flat mate!". The cart driver leans out of his window and shouts back "Funny, I only checked them this morning!"
