Terms & Conditions
Toffs and Tinks specializes in the sale of high quality used goods.
Almost all items offered for sale are pre-owned and have been used previously unless otherwise stated. Every item listed has been checked for condition and recorded as accurately as possible. Buyers are encouraged to carefully examine the pictures attached to each item which support the text. All images are of the actual item for sale.
All purchases will only be accepted in British pounds (£ GBP)
Payments from buyers within the UK may be made by Cash, Cheque issued on a UK bank account, UK postal order, interbank transfer or a verified Paypal account. For the buyer’s protection, cash should only be sent by recorded delivery and insured for the full value.
For international transactions, Paypal may be used for payments from Canada and the United States of America only, pending clarification from Paypal as to their position with other countries. Until further notice, all other international transactions from outside the UK should be paid in £GBP by International Bank Transfer, International Money Order or Western Union.
When paying by Paypal, the delivery address must be the same as your registered and confirmed Paypal address for security purposes.
Buyers wishing to make payment via Paypal should choose the Paypal option at checkout. For all other payment methods, the Mail Order option should be chosen to indicate how payment will be made. This will automatically generate an email to Toffs and Tinks recording your order and payment method, and any further relevant details such as IBAN and SWIFT codes will be forwarded to you by return to assist with the transaction. Any transaction costs incurred are the buyer's responsibility.
PLEASE NOTE In all cases, whether UK residents trading within the UK or with buyers in Canada and USA, Paypal can only be used where the buyer has a verified bank account and a confirmed address. With regret your payment will be returned if it is deemed by Paypal to be ineligible under their Seller Protection Policy.
Goods will be despatched upon receipt of full payment into the Bank.
In the event that items are delivered in condition other than how they were described, please notify Toffs and Tinks immediately via the website contact form, with a description of the problem. If it is shown that the item was grossly mis-described, a full refund of the cost of the item will be made upon return of the goods at your expense with original packaging to the address given with your sales documents. You are advised to return Items via an insured “signed for” service.
Toffs and Tinks will not be held responsible for damage in transit. Where there is clear evidence of badly damaged packaging and possible damage to the item within, you MUST write “Damaged Item” after your signature when you sign for the item on delivery. Where adequate transit insurance cover has been purchased to cover the goods value, any damage must be notified immediately using the website contact form. Toffs and Tinks will write back to you with further instructions and a claim will be raised on your behalf with the carrier company which will then investigate the matter. It is most important that you keep the evidence of damage, including packaging, until the claim is settled, otherwise the claim may be invalidated. Photographs of the damaged item and packaging will be required, and Toffs and Tinks will provide any further evidence in its possession to the carrier in support of your claim. Claim settlement generally takes place within 35 working days.
