Oriosa Multi Dial Swiss Chronograph

Oriosa is a less common Swiss watch brand most noted for the excellent mechanical chronographs it produced in the latter half of the 20th Century.  This example is a chunky, masculine watch with a 17 Jewel manual wind Swiss Valjoux 7733 movement which would date the watch to 1969 or later. Breitling used this movement for years in this type of watch as it was strongly favoured by aviators who needed both durability and accuracy in a reliable manual watch. The matte black dial is excellent and set within a stainless steel bevel and case, with contrasting chrome hands and silver-white baton hour markers.  Lettering,  minute index and tachymetre are in neat raised silver lettering, and the two silver sub-dials have a concentric "machined" ring pattern with contrasting black hands and numbering. The main dial is marked "T Swiss Made T" which denotes luminous hands and hour markers. The crown is at 3 with chrono pushbuttons at 2 and 4. The stainless steel case back is marked Swiss Made, antimagnetic, shockresistant and water-resistant. The watch has a top quality stout leather strap with stainless steel clasp fastener.

This example is in very fine condition, with all functions fully working and scarcely a mark to indicate previous use. The only fault I can find are some very light scratches on the crystal which are only visible through a 10x loupe. This must be one of the best examples of this chrono for sale anywhere.
