This particular set were built in 1989, the final year of production, and include all the improvements Linn incorporated over the 11 year life of the model, a list of which can be found here. Both speakers are in first class condition with excellent cabinets and grills, and fully functional bass drivers, tweeters and crossovers. The bases of the cabinets show light spike marking as they have been used with the Linn spiked stands designed for these speakers. These marks are quite normal and unseen when in use. 

This is an outstanding set of Saras which have been well looked after from new.  It's worth bearing in mind that meaningful improvement over these with new modern speakers is likely to cost in the region of £1700 - £2,000, such is the quality of the Sara and hence its continued popularity on the second hand market. Unfortunately, many of the examples offered for sale today have been abused or modified and it is becoming increasingly hard to find an original set in such fine condition.
