A slim elegant floorstanding speaker, the Kaber delivers exceptional performance without encroaching upon your living space. This matched pair in Black Ash stand firmly on heavy Linn Kustone Polymer Granite Bases with Floor Spikes, an expensive optional extra when new.  The bases are not only kind to your carpets but also providing rigidity and substantial mass to the base of the speaker which improves imaging and tightens the bass performance.

Kabers are designed to be extremely flexible, and can be used in various passive ot active configurations :

• Single wired
• Bi-wired
• Tri-wired
• Bi-amped
• Tri--amped
• Tri-amped ACTIV (dealer set up only)

The different configurations provide an upgrade path which will allow owners to gradually improve the performance of their systems over time without having to invest in new loudspeakers. Played through a Quad 606, even in basic single wired passive mode the speakers sound authoritative, with good imaging and detail, a slightly dry but tight, musical bass, and open mid-range. Very pleasant, but also fast and exciting with good transient response when driven by a decent amp.

Typical of the thought put into the design, the speakers incorporate novel, frameless grilles to avoid mechanical rattling, buzzing and diffraction.

In short, exceptional performance and great build quality from the maker that produced the legendary Kan, Sara and Isobarik loudspeakers in a previous model range.

Supplied in excellent, little used condition with original packaging materials and a copy of the user manual - all for around 25% of the original new price.
