These speakers will require little introduction to hifi buffs. Inspired by the Rogers LS3/5A BBC monitors, the Kans are astonishingly capable for such small speakers, particularly when paired with an able power amplifier. They require considerable power to come alive but once there, these loudspeakers form the most delightfully musical package with surprisingly good bass capability despite their diminutive size. They are at their very best when used with their dedicated Linn stands and placed up against a wall. 

The speakers were developed around the time that Linn and Naim were in close co-operation, so expect exceptional results when you pair the Kans with a Naim power amp, although any quality hifi amp with adequate stable power reserves will suffice. I have used both Naim NAP250 and Quad 606 amps with good results. The speakers reward a good signal source so make sure your turntable equipment or CD player is up to scratch. Again, because they are of the same era, the Linn Sondek LP12 is a very appropriate match. 

There are many references to these speakers on the internet, and almost without exception, people regard them very highly even now, some 25 years later.  Do not let anyone persuade you that later model Kans are better - a well trained ear will tell you that the later Mk 2 is neither better nor worse, simply different. Linn speakers of this era are so musical and so good at imparting rythm that within minutes you will be unconciously tapping your feet to the music. 

This set are in excellent working condtion and have been in my possession for the last 12 years. The cabinets have light signs of use but there is nothing serious to be concerned about and they include excellent grilles (not shown). All driver units and electronics are in good order.
