The Zenza Bronica ETRS is one of a series of 4.5×6 medium format SLRs manufactured by Zenza Bronica Industries Inc., Tokyo, Japan known as the ETR Series. The cameras were aimed at  the professional and top-end amateur photography markets.

The cameras are excellent quality and still regularly used by professionals where reliability, flexibility and high quality from large negatives are required. They are also ideal for those wishing to learn the art and technique of serious photography through manual manipulation of exposure, focus control and depth of field by using a high grade camera in its basic manual form. For those wishing to progress further, the many Bronica accessories available allow the student to go in whatever direction he or she wishes, and includes 17 lenses ranging from fish-eye through to long telephoto, macros and zooms.  The basic manual exposure camera can be upgraded to automatic exposure control by the addition of the appropriate optional auto exposure viewfinder, and motor drives are available for those requiring fast automatic film transport. The accessory list is far too long to detail here, but suffice to say that this is a system camera which allows the photographer great freedom to progress according to his skills and requirements.

The camera for sale here is the sought after metal bodied version manufactured between 1979 and 1982. It comes equipped with the dual latch 120 roll film back with dark slide, 75mm  Zenzanon MC 2.8 lens,  Bronica Prism Viewfinder E and Speedgrip E with Wriststrap. The Speedgrip incorporates the film wind-on lever and accessory shoe. The camera has light signs of use - "used rather than abused" describes it well - with some wear to paintwork mainly on the bottom edges of the Speedgrip, and some marking on the replaceable ground glass focusing screen although this is still perfectly usable and fit for purpose. All major components and electronics  work as they should, and there is no evidence of corrosion in the battery compartment. The lens and integral Seiko leaf shutter are clean and operate smoothly and correctly.
