My name is Mike and I live in rural Angus, a county in the east of Scotland. I’ve always been an inveterate collector and hoarder of interesting or just plain "nice to have" items, acquired new or second hand over the 

years. It's amazing just how much one amasses over a period of 40 years in the pursuit of life's interests, but the time is now approaching to downsize the collection to make space.

Rather than using sale rooms, or advertising through the local press, Toffs and Tinks was created to reach a wider audience, to provide a web resource to illustrate and inform, and also to teach this old dog a few new tricks while learning about “e-commerce”. The eclectic mix of the items on offer will no doubt appeal to people who like to rummage through interesting and collectable things from bygone years, whether to look at, learn about or buy.    

Items will usually be accompanied by multiple images and researched background where possible.  In time, I hope to have a wide range of honestly described, quality articles on the site, and  where appropriate, the information and pictures will remain available as a resource after the items are sold.
